Simple Wiring Diagram, 3, Switches Wire Switch Video On, To New - I would really like to replace my modern-day mild inside the ceiling with a ceiling fan that has a mild. I've 1 activate the wall that control the currently installed light but i would love to update that transfer with one that could independently manage the new fan with light. Further, i would like to put in a dimmer switch for the light.

I’m running in a domestic following a person else’s “beginnings”, relocations, wiring. It’s riding me loopy. Essentially my hassle at the moment…a wall turned into removed that had a three way activate it, and the twine is in the attic now, but nonetheless attached to the alternative transfer inside the hall (it controls mild on fan, and single pole in equal gang field controls fan). The 2 switches in hallway have been interconnected from a source (receptacle). I would love to get power lower back to the transfer from the attic…my question is this, if i soar right into a present field in attic and best have black and white leads to hook up with for electricity, what takes place to my pink cord going to the switch. I’m assuming i might tie the whites in with different white wires in current container.

Adequate so im simply changing switches with new ones. Did it one twine at a time so i didnt get wires mixed up. Didnt paintings. I found your video. Big assist. Now i see what my trouble is. I have a 2 wire and a 3 twine within the first box like you stated. Black and white coming in. Black white and red going to the alternative container. However no different wires going to the light? In the first field they have got the incoming white and outgoing crimson together? Incoming black to black screw. Outgoing black and white as jumpers? How does that work? Most effective thing i will think of is that they both have a junction box within the attic or it really works off the light come what may. I simply had surgery so i cant get my ladder out to appearance. Any ideas?.
